The Membership Sub-Committee

The Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is responsible for selecting candidates for nomination as Officers and members of the Steering Committee.

The Amicus Sub-Committee
The Amicus Sub-Committee is responsible for liaising and coordinating with AIPLA's Amicus Committee and the AIPPI International Advisory Committee on Amicus in developing Briefs advocating AIPPI positions in important cases before the United States Supreme Court or before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The Amicus Sub-Committee is chaired by Rich Beem: Richard@Beemlaw.com.

The Communications Sub-Committee
The Communications Sub-Committee is responsible for managing communications relating to AIPPI-US. The Communications Sub-Committee is chaired by Kelly Hyndman: khyndman@sughrue.com.

The Corporate Sub-Committee
This subcommittee shall provide a platform to network, share best practices, deepen knowledge, influence AIPPI-US, and represent issues that are of particular concern to corporate IP practitioners in the global AIPPI organization.

The Asia Pacific Sub-Committee
The mission of the Asia Pacific Sub-Committee (APC) is to form and develop bilateral relationships with counterpart national groups of AIPPI in the Asia Pacific region (initially the focus is on developing relationships with Korea, China and Japan) and educate AIPPI members in each jurisdiction on the laws, legal practices and trends of the U.S. The APC meets monthly by teleconference and conducts annual leadership meetings with our sister associations at each scheduled AIPPI Congress/Exco & Forum. Also, from time-to-time the APC will coordinate member delegations to travel to sister countries for seminars and meetings, and in reciprocity, will host visits by sister association delegations. The Asia/Pacific Committee is co-chaired by John M.Carson (jcarson@knobbe.com); Sunhee Lee (sxlee@sughrue.com); and Uwe Szipl (Szipl@szipl.com).
